PSOE spokesperson Montse Mínguez characterized the situation as an "extraordinary migratory pressure" caused by the irregular entry of tens of thousands of individuals into the autonomous cities.

Mínguez accused the opposition of engaging in "political opportunism" rather than offering cooperation to the government. According to the PSOE, the PP has chosen to attack the administration’s handling of the crisis instead of working toward a unified national response.
