Miguel Díaz-Canel rejected new economic and travel restrictions imposed by the United States against eight Cuban state-run entities and three officials of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.

In response to the sanctions, the Cuban leader stated that the new measures will not halt the government's administration or its ongoing operations.
