The court found no constitutional conflict in this arrangement, clearing the path for the agreement's implementation.

Following the ruling, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation José Manuel Albares expressed satisfaction with the decision. He has formally urged the Senate to expedite the approval process to ensure the treaty enters into force promptly. The court's decision arrives ahead of an upcoming state visit by French President Emmanuel Macron.
