A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck Colombia on Monday, causing widespread destruction across at least five departments. President Abelardo de la Espriella reported that the seismic event has resulted in a preliminary death toll of 111 people, with an additional 87 individuals confirmed injured as of 12:30 local time (17:30 GMT).
