The robotics company Figure AI decided to destroy its fleet of older humanoid robots, known as the F.02 model, by ordering them to jump into a vat of molten steel.

The destruction of the machines took place at a foundry located in Imatra, Finland. Prior to the disposal, the company trained the autonomous machines so that they would be capable of jumping into the steel container on command.
