Medellín has conducted its first official pilot test of drone delivery for cargo in an urban environment. The trial took place on Tuesday, October 20, as part of an initiative led by the city's mayor's office.

During the test, a 1.2-kilogram package traveled a distance of 5.5 kilometers through the city's airspace. The entire delivery route was completed in a time of five minutes.
