U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright defended the Trump administration's decision to waive sanctions on Russia under a new legislative package. Speaking on Sunday, Wright asserted that the waiver does not function as an economic lifeline for Moscow.
According to the administration, the measure is instead intended as an incentive for Russia to de-escalate the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.
