Engineer gets 160 hours’ community service over Queen Mary Hospital lift defects

A Hong Kong-registered lift engineer has been sentenced to 160 hours of community service at Eastern Court for faulty installation work at the new block of Queen Mary Hospital.

The engineer was convicted of submitting misleading documents and improperly issuing safety certificates relating to the hospital's lift defects.
