NewzEngland manager Thomas Tuchel has stated that midfielder Alex Scott is capable of challenging Declan Rice for a spot in the national team's midfield. The assessment follows Scott's impressive performance during his first international start in a Nations League match against Croatia, where he featured alongside Elliot Anderson.
The remarks highlight evolving tactical options for the England squad under Tuchel's leadership. Scott's strong debut has positioned him as a viable contender to regular starter Rice in the central midfield role moving forward.
