The erosion of the Amazon River banks has caused the collapse of a church in the community of Rondiña I Zona, located in the district of Santa Rosa de Loreto, within the province of Mariscal Ramón Castilla.

The religious infrastructure gave way as a result of the ongoing riverbank deterioration, which now poses a direct threat to residential homes situated near the riverbanks in the affected area.
