These are the joint commitments that Colombia will assume after its formal adherence to the Shield of the Americas

Colombia has formally joined the Escudo de las Américas, also known as the Coalition of the Americas Against Cartels, aligning with governments including the United States, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guyana, Honduras, Panama, and Paraguay in joint security commitments.

As part of this U.S.-led regional alliance, the coalition announced its first joint action on Tuesday, proposing collective sanctions against 24 transnational organized crime groups identified as immediate and shared threats to the region.
