Spain is set to allocate an additional 20 billion euros annually to service its public debt, a move that will exhaust the country's budgetary margin for future crises.

According to a warning from Funcas, the financial pressure stems from the replacement of zero-interest debt with new bonds yielding 4%. This transition is expected to heavily condition and constrain public spending through the year 2031.
