The US demands that Lebanon "be held accountable" for the explosives seized from Hezbollah and not return the shipment.

United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio has urged Lebanese President Joseph Aoun to hold accountable those responsible for ordering, financing, and directing a shipment of hundreds of kilograms of explosives.

Specifically, the U.S. demand insists that the Lebanese government refrain from returning 500 kilograms of explosives to Hezbollah. The explosive materials had been seized by Lebanese authorities the previous week.
