This is the Produce Emergency Plan to protect fishing against the El Niño phenomenon

The Peruvian Ministry of Production (Produce) has approved the Emergency Plan for the Fisheries and Aquaculture Subsectors. The strategic plan is designed to protect these sectors and respond to the potential impacts of the El Niño (FEN) phenomenon projected for 2026-2027.

The primary objective of the newly implemented strategy is to ensure the operational continuity of both commercial fishing and aquaculture activities in the face of environmental disruptions caused by the anticipated weather pattern.
