Students in Barahona develop sensors to save water

Two final-year Computer Systems Engineering students at the Universidad Católica Tecnológica de Barahona (Ucateba) have developed a technological platform utilizing sensors to optimize water usage. The project is designed to assist agricultural producers in managing irrigation more efficiently.

By implementing this system, the developers aim to provide farmers with tools that reduce operational costs while simultaneously increasing overall agricultural productivity. The initiative focuses on sustainable resource management within the local farming sector.
