EU aims to build AI gigafactories of its own

The European Union has unveiled a plan to construct seven new artificial intelligence gigafactories across the bloc. The initiative aims to raise both state and private funds to hyperscale the region's artificial intelligence capabilities.

The strategy is designed to reduce the bloc's reliance on outside technology and help it gain independence from non-European governments.
