Europe is drying up and France is rationing drinking water

Europe is experiencing one of its driest and hottest summers on record, with drought conditions currently affecting more than half of the European Union. The crisis has reached record levels in several nations, including France, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovenia, and Austria.

In response to the severe water shortages, French authorities have implemented drinking water rationing. Water restrictions have now been extended to cover nearly 70 percent of the French national territory as the region grapples with the escalating environmental impact.
