Europe is drying up and France is rationing drinking water

Europe is experiencing one of its driest and hottest summers on record, with drought conditions currently affecting more than half of the European Union. The severe lack of water has reached record levels across several nations, specifically impacting France, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovenia, and Austria.

In response to the crisis, France has implemented drinking water rationing and water restrictions. These emergency measures now extend to nearly 70 percent of the French territory.
