A fourth Supreme Court Justice declines to participate in the evaluation

Supreme Court of Justice Judge Manuel Herrera Carbuccia, who serves as the first substitute to the court's president, Luis Henry Molina, has formally declined to participate in the performance evaluation process conducted by the National Council of the Magistracy (CNM). His decision marks him as the fourth sitting judge of the high court to withdraw from the re-evaluation process for continued tenure.

Upon announcing his withdrawal, Herrera Carbuccia issued a critical statement regarding the proceedings. The ongoing evaluations are being managed by the CNM to determine the composition of the Supreme Court of Justice moving forward.
