A fourth Supreme Court Justice declines to participate in the evaluation

Judge Manuel Herrera Carbuccia, the first substitute to Supreme Court of Justice President Luis Henry Molina, has declined to be evaluated by the National Council of the Magistracy (CNM) to continue serving as a magistrate on the high court.

With this announcement in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Herrera Carbuccia becomes the fourth judge from the Supreme Court of Justice to resign from seeking re-election and undergoing the performance evaluation process initiated by the CNM. Upon communicating his decision, he issued a sharp statement regarding the evaluation.
