A fourth Supreme Court Justice declines to participate in the evaluation

Manuel Herrera Carbuccia, the first substitute to the president of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Dominican Republic, has formally declined to participate in the performance evaluation process conducted by the National Council of the Magistracy (CNM). His decision effectively ends his candidacy for reappointment as a magistrate on the high court.

This action marks the fourth instance of a Supreme Court judge choosing to withdraw from the evaluation process initiated by the CNM. Upon announcing his resignation from the process, Herrera Carbuccia issued a statement characterized as critical regarding the proceedings.
