A fourth Supreme Court Justice declines to participate in the evaluation

Manuel Herrera Carbuccia, the first substitute to the president of the Supreme Court of Justice, has formally declined to undergo the performance evaluation process initiated by the National Council of the Magistracy (CNM). His decision marks him as the fourth Supreme Court judge to withdraw from the re-election process for his position on the high court.

Upon announcing his withdrawal, Herrera Carbuccia issued a statement criticizing the evaluation proceedings. The move follows a series of similar resignations from other members of the judiciary currently facing the CNM's assessment process.
