A fourth Supreme Court Justice declines to participate in the evaluation

Supreme Court of Justice Judge Manuel Herrera Carbuccia, who serves as the first substitute to court president Luis Henry Molina, has formally declined to participate in the performance evaluation process conducted by the National Council of the Magistracy (CNM). By choosing not to seek reappointment, he becomes the fourth sitting judge of the high court to withdraw from the current evaluation cycle.

In his communication regarding the decision, Herrera Carbuccia provided a critical assessment of the process. His departure marks a notable shift in the composition of the judiciary as the CNM continues its scheduled review of the Supreme Court's current members.
