Former Venezuelan mayor asks the ombudsperson to intervene in the electricity crisis

On Monday, August 17, Venezuelan opposition politician and former mayor Rafael Ramírez Colina formally requested the intervention of the national ombudsman, Eglée González, to address the severely deteriorating electrical crisis in the northwestern border state of Zulia.

According to the reports, Ramírez Colina highlighted the worsening conditions of the power service in the region, prompting the appeal to the ombudsman's office for official action and mediation in mitigating the daily disruptions faced by local residents.
