The 6th Report on Human Trafficking indicates that sexual exploitation is the primary form of human trafficking involving minors in Mexico. Digital platforms have emerged as the dominant environment for these crimes, accounting for 92% of cases. These online spaces are utilized by perpetrators for the recruitment, manipulation, and dissemination of child sexual abuse material. The findings highlight a significant shift toward virtual environments as the primary venue for facilitating the exploitation of minors in the country.
