“I trust that justice will prevail”: Former President of Honduras ahead of the key day that will determine whether he will face trial for fraud and money laundering

Former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández (who held office from 2014 to 2022) stated on Sunday that he trusts justice will prevail in his upcoming legal proceedings. Speaking from Gracias, Lempira, Hernández called on his supporters to pray for him and for the judge presiding over his case.

A key judicial hearing is scheduled for Tuesday to determine whether a formal auto of processing will be issued against the former president on charges of fraud and money laundering, or if the court will close the case.
