Diana Otero, a medical doctor, died on December 5, 2022, in Cisneros, Antioquia, in an incident initially investigated by the Prosecutor's Office as a traffic accident.

Following the event, Otero's parents challenged the initial official finding, presenting an alternative reconstruction on the program Más allá del si. They have accused her romantic partner, an Army sergeant, of taking over all of her assets after her death.
