Family of Texas woman who died while pregnant sues Paxton, doctors over denied abortion

The family of 37-year-old Tierra Walker has filed a lawsuit in Texas against Attorney General Ken Paxton and several doctors following her death in 2024. The legal action was initiated on Wednesday after medical professionals denied Walker an abortion while she was pregnant.

Walker died from preeclampsia after suffering severe medical complications, including seizures, blood clots, and a hypertensive crisis, while her request for an abortion was reportedly refused under state circumstances.
