Félix Bolaños is not giving up on Peinado: he accuses the General Council of the Judiciary of "conservatism" for dismissing his complaints against the judge and is appealing to the Supreme Court

Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes, Félix Bolaños, has formally appealed to the Supreme Court following the General Council of the Judiciary's (CGPJ) decision to archive his complaints against Judge Juan Carlos Peinado. The judge is currently overseeing the investigation into Begoña Gómez.

In his appeal, Bolaños characterized the CGPJ's decision as a product of institutional "conservatism" or "corporatism." This legal action marks a continuation of the government's ongoing conflict with the judiciary regarding the handling of the case, as the minister seeks to challenge the oversight body's refusal to sanction the judge.
