World number one Elena Rybakina is preparing to defend her title at the Ningbo Open after advancing to the tournament final. She will face unseeded Canadian player Leylah Fernandez in the championship match.
Fernandez secured her place in the final on Saturday by defeating the Czech Republic's Marie Bouzkova in straight sets, with a score of 6-3, 7-5. The victory puts the world number 30 one win away from claiming her second title in as many months, following her tournament victory in Singapore last month.
