Citizens are asking Abelardo de la Espriella to militarize three southern Bogotá districts: “Citizens expect concrete measures.”

Representative José Jaime Uscátegui, a member of the Centro Democrático party, has called for the militarization of three localities in the southern part of Bogotá. On Tuesday, September 29, Uscátegui formally requested that President Abelardo De la Espriella implement a special military assistance plan to support the region, stating that citizens are expecting concrete security measures.

Separately, the National Flower Festival announced its upcoming musical lineup, featuring performances by prominent artists Fito Páez, David Lebón, and Pedro Aznar. The traditional ten-day event in Escobar will combine live music, floricultural displays, and family-oriented gastronomic activities at the Predio Floral.
