Fire breaks out at earthquake-damaged Nippon Paper Plant in Kumamoto

A fire has broken out at the Nippon Paper Plant located in Kumamoto, an industrial facility that previously sustained damage from a 7.1-magnitude earthquake on July 28.

The earlier seismic event caused a chimney at the plant to collapse, resulting in nine fatalities. The latest incident adds to the ongoing challenges faced by the earthquake-damaged facility.
