Fire crews work on containment lines between out-of-control blaze and Kimberley, B.C.

Fire crews are currently working to establish containment lines between an out-of-control wildfire and the city of Kimberley, British Columbia. The blaze is located approximately 10 kilometres west of the community.

The BC Wildfire Service has deployed heavy equipment to the area to construct these lines. The primary objective of this operation is to create a physical barrier to block the fire's progression toward the city.
