Fire next to Aotearoa’s oldest building deemed suspicious

A fire that broke out next to Aotearoa's oldest building has been officially deemed suspicious by authorities. Emergency services responded to the incident at The Honey House Café late on Friday night.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand personnel were called to the scene at 11:35 p.m. to battle the blaze situated adjacent to the historic structure. Investigations into the cause of the fire are currently underway following the determination that the incident is suspicious.
