Fire under 880 in Oakland sends dark plume of smoke into air

(KRON) -- Fire crews are battling a blaze burning beneath Interstate 880 in Oakland near 5th Ave and East 8th Street. Video from the scene shows an RV on fire, and dark smoke emanating from the area. There is no threat to the freeway infrastructure, nearby buildings or neighborhoods, according to fire officials.
