Firefighters are trying to stop a fast-moving Nevada wildfire from spreading to homes in Reno

Over the weekend, a fast-moving and out-of-control wildfire exploded in size in the Sierra Nevada foothills, spreading perilously close to residential neighborhoods in northwest Reno, Nevada. Firefighters are currently working to stop the blaze from reaching homes.

In response to the advancing fire, authorities have declared a state of emergency. More than 90,000 residents have been placed under evacuation orders and warnings, being told to leave their neighborhoods or be prepared to do so.
