Flood-prone residents urged to relocate

District leaders in Mwanza, Tanzania, have intensified preparations for anticipated El Niño rains projected for late September or early October. Authorities are actively urging residents living in flood-prone areas to take early precautionary measures to safeguard both lives and property.

As part of these preparedness efforts, Kwimba District Commissioner Mr. Ng’wilabuzu Ludigija issued a direct call to action for local populations residing in high-risk zones to relocate ahead of the severe weather events.
