Pensacola residents clean up after Hurricane Isaias causes 4 deaths

Fallen trees, damaged rooftops, and bent metal littered roads on Saturday in Pensacola after Isaias made landfall as a Category 2 storm on Friday night near Destin. Strong wind gusts blew the roof off the Rest & Relax Inn at 7200 Plantation Road in Pensacola. There was also damage at the Pensacola International Airport.

The first hurricane of the Atlantic season caused at least four people to die and some 900,000 to lose power in Florida and Alabama, according to officials. In Escambia County, a woman died after a tree fell on her home, and a man died while keeping a generator running in his garage during the storm, according to Sheriff Chip Simmons.In Alabama, downed trees were to blame for two deaths in Birmingham and Barbour County.
