NewzCleanup continued in Fort Lauderdale’s Rio Vista neighborhood on Friday after two cranes came down onto a home the day prior.The first crane fell on the home, located in the 700 block of Southeast Eighth Street, on Thursday morning after a boom truck tipped over during an attempt to install a pest fumigation tent, due to the weight of the load. The second crane fell as the company, the West Park-based Cooper Crane, tried to remove the first. Nobody was hurt in either instance.Crews on Friday were collecting spilled hydraulic fluid and preparing damaged equipment for removal, using a large truck brought in to take the crane apart and haul it away.“We’re relieved that no one was hurt,” a representative from Cooper Crane said in a statement.
“We’re cooperating with the property owner, authorities, and our insurance carrier. The incident is being reviewed, and we can’t comment on details while that process is underway.”The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is getting involved in the investigation.

He did not appear in MCSO’s active jail roster as of Friday morning.
