Ok Tedi Mining Limited (OTML) has been forced to reroute its cargo transportation through Indonesia due to critically low water levels on the Fly River in Papua New Guinea. The disruption is a result of the ongoing dry season induced by the El Niño weather pattern.
Despite the logistical challenges affecting cargo transport, OTML has confirmed that its mining operations will continue unaffected by the water level drops.
