Flydubai captain recalls struggle to open cockpit door during attempted terror attack

An Indian pilot for Flydubai, Smit Machchhar, has recounted a struggle to open a cockpit door and alert others during an attempted terror attack.

Machchhar reported being attacked with an axe by his Omani copilot inside the cockpit. During the incident, he struggled to sound the alarm while thinking to himself that he could not die in the attack.
