FNB Stadium Test ‘will come down to fine margins’, says All Blacks skipper Savea

The Springboks and All Blacks clash in the third of four Test matches at FNB Stadium in Joburg on Saturday, with kick-off at 5.10pm. The All Blacks won the first Test at Ellis Park, while the Boks won the second Test in cape Town last weekend. The fourth Test is next weekend in Baltimore, USA.

Bok boss Rassie Erasmus as well as All Blacks coach Dave Rennie have made changes to their teams for this match, though minimal. A crowd of around 87,000 is expected at FNB Stadium. Below the teams is The Citizen’s coverage of the match today.

New Zealand captain Ardie Savea says the threat of bad weather will not affect plans for the third Test against world champions South Africa in Johannesburg on Saturday. The South African Weather Service told AFP there is a “60% chance of rain and thunderstorms” at Soccer City, also known as FNB Stadium, during the match. “That (bad weather) will not affect how we play.

We need to be a little bit better in all areas than last week to challenge the Springboks,” he told reporters on Friday. “We know how we want to play and South Africa know how they want to play. The game will come down to fine margins.
