A former Boston Children’s Hospital nurse accused of assaulting at least two sedated teenage boys as they recovered from surgery appeared in court Monday for his arraignment on charges in the case, as prosecutors urge others who may have also been victims to come forward.John Tam, 33, of Hopedale, was arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court in Boston on Monday on eight counts of indecent assault and battery. These charges brought in Superior Court bring a “significant escalation of penalty,” Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney Madeline Berry told the courtroom on Monday. John Tam, 33, allegedly sexually assaulted teenage boys at Boston Children's Hospital in 2022 and 2025.
