French wildfire created a monster cloud, unleashing lightning that ignited more fires

A powerful wildfire in southwest France grew so intense that its smoke column transformed into a thunderstorm, according to French officials. The resulting storm generated lightning that struck the ground and ignited new fires beyond the perimeter of the original blaze.
