Seremban High Court judge Roz Mawar Rozain fixed Sept 28 for case management to receive updates on the parties' legal challenges. SEREMBAN: The Negeri Sembilan Dewan Keadilan dan Undang (DKU) and its secretary have filed a fresh application for leave to cite six people for contempt of court for allegedly breaching an interim injunction issued on June 5.Lawyer Steven Thiru said the fresh application was filed this morning after attempts to serve the six with court documents in the earlier contempt proceedings proved unsuccessful."They have been avoiding service of the cause papers since the High Court allowed our clients to commence committal proceedings earlier this month," Thiru later told reporters outside the court.The six are the former undang of Sungai Ujong, Mubarak Dohak; the undang of Jelebu, Maarof Mat Rashad; the undang of Johol, Muhammed Abdullah; the undang of Rembau, Abdul Rahim Yasin; the Tunku Besar of Tampin, Tunku Syed Razman Tunku Syed Idrus Al-Qadri; and the Shahbandar of Sungai Ujong, Badarudin Abdul Khalid.Thiru represents the DKU and its secretary, Raja Norazli Raja Nordin.The Court of Appeal in Putrajaya will hear an application by the six tomorrow to stay the High Court proceedings which granted leave for contempt proceedings against them.In view of the pending application before the appellate court, High Court judge Justice Roz Mawar Rozain today adjourned the committal proceedings, which had been fixed for hearing.At the outset of the proceedings, counsel Awang Armadajaya Awang Mahmud, appearing for the six, informed the court that the Court of Appeal had fixed their stay application for hearing tomorrow.Awang Armadajaya also told the court that the Court of Appeal had fixed case management on Oct 19 to set a hearing date for the appeal against the High Court's decision granting leave to commence contempt proceedings.Roz Mawar fixed Sept 28 for case management to receive updates on the parties' legal challenges.Earlier this month, Roz Mawar granted leave to the DKU and Raja Norazli to begin committal proceedings after finding they had established a prima facie case that the six had breached the June 5 interim injunction.The injunction bars the six from holding, calling, continuing or attending any DKU meeting, including a proposed special sitting announced on June 5.They are also prohibited from suspending, removing or interfering …
