The message coming out of Wednesday’s official BZR Weekend media launch was as ambitious as the superstar preparing to headline it: Kingston is ready for the world. Come October 18, organisers are hoping to prove it. Global rap superstar Cardi B will make her highly anticipated Jamaican concert debut inside the National Stadium as the headline attraction for BZR WKND 2026, an entertainment experience organisers believe can further position Kingston among the world’s premier destinations for major live events.
The announcement was officially celebrated inside the Innovative Gallery at the AC Hotel Kingston, where media, government officials, and entertainment stakeholders gathered for a launch hosted by media personality Chiney K, with DJ Narity providing the entertainment. But amid the excitement surrounding Cardi B’s impending arrival, an even bigger vision emerged — one in which Jamaica was showcased as a destination capable of bringing some of the world’s biggest entertainers to its shores.
