Firefighters are on high alert in France as scorching temperatures and winds threaten to fuel wildfire west of Bordeaux As wildfires continue to tear through southwest France, thousands of wild animals are paying the price. Unable to outrun the flames or left without food and water, many have perished while others are being rescued by firefighters and volunteers.
