Haiti's Gang Suppression Force requests air transport

The United States has formally requested that the international community provide aerial transport capabilities to expedite the deployment of personnel and equipment to Haiti. This request aims to bolster the Multinational Security Support mission, which is currently operating with troop levels significantly below the mandate authorized by the United Nations Security Council.

The initiative seeks to address logistical bottlenecks that have hindered the full mobilization of the security force. By securing additional air transport, international stakeholders intend to accelerate the arrival of necessary resources to stabilize the security situation in Haiti.
