Stanicia Pate, a spokesperson for his management, told Observer Online that Ras Ajai had a cache of songs for release. “There is more music, he has an arsenal of songs. Love Is Kind was actually scheduled for release, so we’re honouring what was already in motion,” she said.

“Beyond that, there is music and material he left behind, but we don’t want to rush to release things simply because he’s no longer here.” Ras Ajai, whose real name was Brian Todd Boucher, was raised in Waterford. He lived in New York City for many years and recorded and toured with Sean Paul. Known for songs like Well Misbehave and Vice Grip, Ras Ajai is also featured on Buss A Bubble, Sean Paul’s 2019 single.

That track is from Live N Livin, Sean Paul’s album which was nominated for a 2022 Best Reggae Album Grammy Award.
