Teenager Bryan Lowe texted friend that he was being followed before fatal hit-and-run in Co Clare

Gardaí in County Clare are investigating the fatal hit-and-run of 16-year-old Bryan Lowe, whose body was found following the incident. Lowe, locally identified as being from Clonlara and Westbury near Limerick city, died after being struck by a vehicle.

Authorities are actively investigating whether the teenager was deliberately targeted. Specifically, investigators are examining the possibility that Lowe was being followed by thieves and was attempting to flee from them prior to being struck and killed.
